#POPPUNK mixtape out now! http://trueneutralcrew.bandcamp.com/
We’ve got two True Neutral Crew shows coming up, both in Los Angeles. The first is this coming Friday Sept 19 at Handbag Factory.
The next then is at Superchief Gallery on Saturday Oct 18 - The event is centered around a Haunted Maze, so this won’t be your regular sort of show - also capacity is very limited for this one & buying advance tickets highly recommended.
DEATHBOMB TRACK OF THE DAY: RROPE “JINGLE JANGLE”
A couple years ago Deathbomb Arc had the honor of bringing back not just a lost gem, but an entire lost jewel mine of 90s noise rock in the form of rRope’s full discography. Most people had never heard of this incredible group, and those that listened before reading the bio would say things like “this is the sound of the future!” Then we’d say, “actually its the sound of the past!” In any case, the rRope’s music is more vital and fresh today than it ever has been. The track of the day, “Jingle Jangle” is a mutant pop song they did, full of strange arrangements, virtuoso drumming, and true alien joy! Check it out! And if you enjoy, their remastered discography, ‘We Are You There’, is still available on Deathbomb Arc.
As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a huge fan of the band rRope. How huge? I put out a box set of their entire discography! Definitely check these folks out, they are so good!
signor benedick the moor and i being funny at the smell a little while back. this was a fun show to play. thanks for sharing whoisjfx316 !!!!
SIGNOR BENEDICK THE MOOR TOUR THIS NOVEMBER
West coast folks and AZ residents rejoice, Signor Benedick The Moor is touring about this November! He slayed on tour with clipping., and it is guarenteed he will slay again! The tour is still in the booking stages though. If you can help set up a show, or would like to help promote, please get in touch: email@example.com - Below is a list of cities the tour hopes to go to:
our bandmate, Signor Benedick The Moor, is working on putting a tour together. maybe YOU can help out?!?!?!
thanks for sharing, doomguy1998! this was a fun one to record. the first version of it was entirely me on vocals, doing these goofy lines like “tell your god I’m hustlin, got no time to worship him” and “im so deep in the slime, im social all the time” but the beat that Lauren made, built around a live recording on bass & drums I did, was just too good not to have some more talented rappers on. i think diss1 and signor benedick the moor really nailed it, hopefully you do too!
adam & the ants did many things well, but my favorite always is their disinterest in cymbals.
friedeggsandwiches - Most of our energy is going towards our short film right now. I’m sure you’ve seen the teaser images/gifs we’ve been posting. That will come out in Oct. I’m really excited about how it looks!
The next release is already in the works. All my live drums are tracked. Signor Benedick is editing those and adding production right now. But then they go to Margot and then we do vocals… and mix… and master… so it will be a bit.
Next True Neutral Crew show is this month, btw! And folks that want to book us should get in touch! firstname.lastname@example.org
bashilicus Signor Benedick The Moor and I both had a similar response… in theory yes, but we aren’t deeply familiar. I’m pretty sure Daveed is a huge fan.
That said, I highly recommend Basehead. They were another hiphop group from around that same early 90s time when major labels were pushing rap groups that had this sort of hippie vibe, like Digable, Arrested Development, and PM Dawn. Basehead had a sort of country thing going on like Arrested Development, but distinctly non-rural. Urban stoned cowboy thing. I still listen to them to this day. Here is track.
I do like that urban cowboy thing a lot. Not rhinestone, nor the kinda of silverlake hipster cowboy thing, but a true cowboy finds themself a fish out of water in an urban environment thing. My favorite noiserock group of all time, rRope, has the same vibe going on.
necrotelecomnicon There is always an attraction to using a site like this, but soon as I remember that we need to have them at shows, I realize we’re just not the right folks for it.
But like you confirm, the shirts need to be REAL soft. Everyone agrees on that right?
